General Manager - Providence

Job Summary:

Are you an operations leader with a bias for execution and excellent customer service? Are you excited about owning the success of a market and being responsible for its P&L? Are you passionate about creating and leading teams to transform transportation/mobility and the lifestyle at the University of Oklahoma? If so, you might be VeoRide’s next General Manager!

As VeoRide ’s General Manager in Norman, you will have the opportunity to shape and lead our innovative dockless scooter program. You will have a vital role in all aspects of the program’s success, from hiring team members to ensuring efficient daily 24-7 operations. You will also be responsible for building and maintaining local partnerships, as well as strengthening our relationship with Norman. Above all, it is your responsibility to increase the number of riders who use our scooters. Your success will be measured by your ability to drive daily ridership, increase the number of scooters in service, assemble and manage a high performing team, and continually delight our VeoRiders through exceptional customer service.

An ideal candidate for this role will have a passion for problem-solving, data driven decision-making, customer service, team leadership, and operational efficiency.


  • Recruiting and growing local team (with the support of VeoRide HQ)
  • Owning and managing market P&L and optimizing market finances to ensure growth
  • Overseeing local operations, marketing, and business expansion
  • Working with our business development teams to partner with local governmental agencies, businesses and other organizations
  • Planning, executing and meeting monthly and quarterly goals on key business metrics
  • Collaborating with VeoRide HQ on growth strategies in your market and region
  • Displaying leadership in your market and mentoring your team

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelors degree and 3+ years of operations management and a mix of sales/technology/marketing experience
  • Experience leading and managing diverse teams in a fast-paced, early stage startup or high growth/high velocity company is a plus
  • An “ownership mindset” with an entrepreneurial flair
  • A willingness and ability to work a variety of days and shifts
  • An operational leader with a bias for execution who seeks to identify and drive improvements at varying levels
  • A quantitatively oriented decision maker, with an interest in using data to drive efficiency and improve performance
  • An exceptional verbal and written communicator
  • An Evangelist, someone who displays passion about the overall goals of micromobility sharing and sustainable transportation
  • A leader with a developed sense of ethics
  • Passionate about making Providence a better place to live and ride
